The City of Chicago offers classes on "Green" topics at the Chicago Center for Green Technology and at other locations around the area.

This class seeks to educate designers, engineers and consumers on the environmental impact of their material choices. We will examine the lifecycle of some interesting green materials – from extraction, transport, processing, fabrication, installation, reuse, recycling, and disposal. Through this process we will expose inefficiencies in today’s materials economy and highlight areas for improvement. We will also discuss methods for evaluating materials and lifecycle.
