. CREDIT: AIA/CES: 2 Bill Maniates, a veteran of the lumber industry, will discuss what consumers should know about forest certification before purchasing wood products for their projects. The presentation will give a short history of the major forest certification systems, logos to look for, what assurances a chain of custody provides the consumer and the rapid growth of certification. Mainstream certified wood products are becoming more easily available in the market place. A variety of samples of FSC, SFI and the Canadian Forest Certification products will be on display for the audience to explore.
